An ammunition box or cartridge box is a container specially designed for safe transport and storage of ammunition.
“This stunning vintage all metal WW2 World War 2 ammunition carry box is in a great used condition with all
original hardware i.e.
Carry handles,hinges,clasps and lock loop- .
It has marks & Writing- hard to read all but , what I could trace is, reads,C 239 SGC 1943
This army ammunition box is made from riveted steel.
On the sides two massive steel handles are attached and on the lever locks the box
can be closed with a padlock and lockable.

he pressed-in cover & bottom design provides stability / durability and strength, Not sure if this has any other meaning.
This box has marks,1943.India pre Independent Era or British ruling era, therefore hard to establish its
origin.
This trunk has
visible Black
Color on outer surface and light brown mild green tone color inside.
This box would have contained  plywood boxes inside that would have had cartridges and ammunition inside.
