    "Human Body" Skeletal and External Aspects," poster by Eastman Kodak Company. In original wooden frame with original hanging holes in frame.
    Image area is split in two, revealing detailed skeleton and the human body with comprehensive chart noting 80 plus different parts. Issued by Eastman Kodak in the late 1930s and early 1940s to promote their x-ray film to doctors and chiropractors. Chiropractic health care was founded in 1895, the same year that Professor Roentgen of Germany discovered the x-ray. Chiropractors were among the first professionals to use the x-rays for spinal study. In 1934, the first successful full body x-ray picture showing the entire skeletal system of an adult was made in cooperation with the Eastman Kodak Company. This poster is a beautiful representation of this time period.
