    Description

    This is another
    Franklin Mint
collectible mechanical bank from the early 1990s featuring a 1955
    Ford Thunderbird
    at a
    Texaco
gas station with pump, sign and running attendant. The bank is referred to as the "Service With A Smile" bank. The way it works is that you pull the knob at the base till the gas station attendant clicks and stays back, put a coin on his clip board, press the
    Texaco
gas pump globe down and the attendant rushes towards the car side door and deposits the coin thru the open window. Open the trunk to retrieve coins deposited. Was purchased new by an adult collector who had it displayed on his credenza in his office till his recent demise. Carefully cared for its entire life by the janitorial staff. Measures 12" X 10½" X 8½" when sign pole is in place (its removable).
