This lovely
Huipil / Jacket / Beach
Cover
was
hand woven on a Back Strap Loom
in the
Maya community of Zinacantan
in Chiapas Mexico.
It opens in the front and has 4 sets of tassel ties on either side and another set in the front.
The weaving is done in
shades of Blue and Sand
and alternates from
tightly woven to loosely woven (see detail photos).
This garment would make a wonderful beach cover for an
upcoming vacation.
Since it opens up on both sides is will fit just about anyone!!!
It measures 23 1/2 inches wide and 31 inches long, not including the fringe.
This cover up will fit just about everyone!!!
It's a great example of
