Description
The Huipil is a type of blouse or dress typical of Mexican and Central American Indians, usually embroidered with geometric and floral motifs.In the Huipil there are a series of codes and texts that tell the history of our Mexico.
The Huipil is embroidered on a backstrap loom that dates back to pre-Hispanic times. It is considered a gift from the gods.
This model has a great value for being completely handmade. They are rectangular pieces of fabric, sewn together, with an opening for the head and the sides are sewn with openings for the arms.
All our huipiles are created by artisans from the municipality of Zinacantán, Chiapas.
Materials:
Created in 100% cotton yarn in stripes and brocade in various colors.
Measurements:
Large and small size.
Small size:
length 55 cms and front or width 54 cms.
Large size:
length 68 cms and front or width 68 cms.
Care instructions:
hand wash only. Hang to dry, avoid direct sunlight.
