A bit of information found from an annual report of the CAMRT - A Memorandum of Agreement was developed and an application was made for Dominion Charter to form the Canadian Society of Radiological Technicians (CSRT). In May 1943, the CSRT Charter was granted to founding members William Colbeck, Sadie Storm (Ontario), George Reason (Ontario), Mary Cameron (Ontario), Claude Bodle (Manitoba), Rosemary O’Hagen (Quebec), and Herbert McGuffin (Alberta). Member associations included: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. The crest and motto were adopted at the first annual meeting in September 1943. The motto, “Scientia et mores” means “Knowledge and Ethics.” The publication The Ontario Radiographer was merged with the new CSRT journal, The Focal Spot, creating a new member publication for the national association.
