This listing is for a wonderful early 19th Century antique English Sterling Silver 8" footed tray by Peter and William Bateman, c. 1805.
The tray has a classic gadroon edge and sits on three decorative feet.
Measures 1 1/4" high and 8" in diameter. Weighs 330 grams.
This lovely tray is in excellent Estate condition although there are some minor surface scratches and several tiny dings on center of tray (see photos). No other noted flaws.
The silver is marked with English hallmarks for "London, Sterling", date letter "N" for 1805 with maker's stamp "PB" over "WB" for Peter and William Bateman. The Batemans were very desirable English silversmiths of this period and any of their silver items are very desirable and would be a nice addition to any silver collection.
