VINTAGE ARMY SUPPLY CHEST. WOOD. 12-DRAWER. ELECTRONICS PARTS. CY-64/U. (EMPTY)

Description

No idea how this U.S. Army Signal Corps wood chest came to be in Santa Barbara, CA, but here it is.
Its purpose is as a case/chest for spare radio parts.
The chest appears to have been stored out of the sunlight and weather, with only some slight gouges and paint missing.
All 12 drawers are in very good condition and all work smoothly.
Two handles on each side are intact and in great shape.
The hinges on right side both pull open easily. Hinges on left are more rusty.
I tried to show the condition as best I could in these photos.
The identifying badge up top is in great condition:  US Army Signal Corps. CY-64/U.
At some point in time someone wrote, with marker pen, on drawers # 4, 7 & 8, labeling them "Elc" "Bolts" "Pulls". (Please refer to last photo.)
I am not sure if this chest is from WWII or The Korean War.  (Any info gratefully accepted.)
Dimensions are:  20" wide x 20" deep x 25" high.
