    Description

    Offered is this three-dimensional wall plaque of Aesculapius, the Greek god of healing, a limited edition reproduction of an ancient Greek carving from around 400 BC. The piece is made from a stone-like hard cast material (like concrete) and was commissioned by the Rexall Drug Co. in 1974. The work is a limited edition of 3000; this one is not numbered but is an Artist's Proof (AP)-see photo #4.
    The piece is approx. 9 1/4" x 5 1/2". It is in very good to excellent condition. I see no damage to the material of the piece but there is one small area in the upper-right corner where there is a faint red mark.There is a shallow recess molded into the back for hanging.
