Description:Purchased by Texaco in October 1941, this beautiful Beechcraft D17S "Staggerwing" was a 5-seat, equal span, single bay biplane. It was driven by a powerful 450 H.P. 9-cylinder radial, air-cooled Pratt & Whitney Wasp Jr. engine. The plane's nickname "Staggerwing" comes from its trademark, sleek back-staggered wings. This diecast bank is the 12th in the 'Wings of Texaco' series. It has a wingspan of 12" and measures about 10.5" from nose to tail.
